About Us

The Mabou Sailing and Boating Club is committed to the development and sustainability of a recreational boating club for youth and adults in and around the Mabou area.

The club first began in 2008 with the Ontario Mobile Sailing Club visiting the area for one week during the summer. Since then the club has enjoyed significant growth with over 50 members and has proven to be a valuable asset to the community. We are excited to be in a position where we can now offer sailing lessons to adults and to have races on the harbour with the well designed Albacore and Tasar dinghies. Mabou Sailing is an active member of the Nova Scotia Yacht Association and a registered non-profit society.

The club is located at the Mabou Waterfront on Route 19 in the village of Mabou. Plans are underway to improve the infrastructure at the waterfront, in particular we are focusing our short term efforts to install a launch ramp for small sailing dinghies. We are also researching the feasibility of a clubhouse, mooring field, dock expansion, and harbor dredging.

This website will serve as a focal point for information pertaining to all aspects of the club. Find information on membership, learn to sail programs, and photos of your kids sailing the Mabou harbor.
