Entrance Notes: Entrance at the mouth is shallow at low tide. ( 3ft) Tide is approx 4 ft range. Sailors should wait for mid to high tide for entering or leaving the harbour. Make certain to round the entrance buoy. Do not take a short cut or you run the risk of hitting the sandbar. Once inside Stay to the green side for maximum clearance. There is a considerable tide that can rip through at a good 4 knots so be careful coming through the channel and have plenty of power available if you are against the tide at full bore. Extra caution is advised @ full Ebb tide and a strong northwest wind. This condition can be treacherous. The club is about a 4 KM sail southeast and is sheltered inside the Northeast Cove. It is sheltered and has plenty of water ( 25ft.) Bottom is good for anchoring and there are 4 moorings available.
Nearest Store: The village is just a few km up the road. You could motor up to the village marina and the village would be just a 10 min walk.
Notes: Several Yachts stay overnight each year and vary from 20-60' in length and 2-7' drafts.
